Unfortunatley Yorkshire is a long

BR Sprinters were built
in 1988 by the Leyland Bus Company. There are 7 Class 155 Sprinters that are
owned by'Porterbook' and are run by 'Arriva Trains Northern'. I think I like these type of
trains because they are compact & lightweight.
BR Sprinters are idle
for Northern Regions as they are small and can travel fast between far flung
northern stations.
One reason, probably,
for train operators wanting to use
these trains would be the
low fuel consumption. If the train bodies are light - the same basis as cars
FACT:
The most northern station on the UK Mainland is
THURSO
(Near WICK- -
information provided kindly by Trevor Wright who apparently pushed a barrel
between those two locations for charity)
